The south Indian women wear the yellow thread with the Mangalsutra. Most of the Indian women particularly in the central and western part, wear black bead as sign the Mangalsutra. The black colour destroys the evil of the husband. The nose ring of the gold is also one important jewelry. It is basically important in the high cast and some tribal do not follow the custom. At the time of marriage, particularly in the Bengali marriage the sindoor is filled with gold ornament in the brides head. Gold gets its shine after heating in the kiln so gold is considered as the purest metal and that is the reason the gold is having the prominent place in the Indian marriage.
