Marathi wedding Ceremony

First step is the Sakhar Puda where a sachet of sugar is swap by the families of the bride and the groom to mark the engagement .Then the Wang Nischay when the ceremonial engagement ceremony is detained. Then the groom’s foot is rinsed by the bride’s parents and he is showered with gifts. After this, is the ritual Breakfast where the bride’s parents indulgence the guests with a lavish breakfast. Just as the groom haves his breakfast the bride perform a ceremony called the Gowrihar Puja. Then she is taken to the mandap by her maternal uncle and a silk partition separate the bride and the groom. After the partition is detached.
