In Delhi only 10 couples broke their relation by the divorce daily. But it is seen in India the only one country having the divorce rate of 1.1%, wheras the other country like Sweden and united stare the percentage is above 50. This data is taken from the divorce demography. The only country renowned for its name for custom and tradition that made the endless relation between the married couple. This percentage is lower before some years ago below 1%. The reason behind this may be the freedom for the abusive relationship which becomes trend of the higher class society. They have DINK (double income no kids) formals so have no responsibility for the kids. Stress modern life slowly filling the poison in the life of hundreds of married couple. The change in the gender role is also the one of the reason that makes the difference and competition in the married partners. The divorces case is increased by 40% in Mumbai. Average 10 cases are registered in the court for divorce only in Delhi. The cases are filed for taking the alimony from her husband as the sign the women empowerment for becoming the self dependent and independent. These marriages are broken because the spouse does not believe each other. Most of the couple do not have affection and love between each other and they just bear each other because their parents arranged their marriages. The decision is taken by the elders and if the relation fails to work the husband is going to give the alimony. Alimony is become the most important element in the mind of the women. The divorce makes the stress among the thousand of married couple with their children and the suicide among the married couple is increasing day by day. Now the alimony proved that it not makes the women empower but the element of marriage breaker. The Supreme Court judge “Arijit Pasayath” said this fact that the Hindu marriage law is breaking the families rather to join them.

In arranged marriages the element of colour plays an important role except when there is love marriage and in cases of dowry system. Some of the men put the proposal that their wife will not work outside the home after the marriage so her career gets doomed. In the urban areas this problem is tolerated to some extent but the condition is worst in the rural areas of India.
