Today we speak of Indian wedding, Hindu or and its traditions. In these marriages before the actual wedding rites are to do and everyone has their own intrinsic meaning, among these is the tradition of painting henna designs on hands.

The day before the wedding, an expert in mehndi painted hands and feet of bride but also the groom, beautiful designs. This rite is called Mehndi Raat ki. Is an important ritual for Hindu weddings with a very deep significance?

When a couple gets married with the Hindu wedding is joined by their families. During the mehndi ceremony not only the bride is painted hands, but the other female members of his family. The more the color will last on the hands of bride plus the marriage will be better. Is a good omen if it comes along and it also means that the husband has a lot of love for his wife?

Whenever, Mehndi singing, dancing, chatting and reflecting on the future in mind happiness. Following the marriage until the bride’s hands on the drawing does not go away she is not “authorized” to do housework. This is a bit of gossip? It seems that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt they married in a Hindu in 2011. I added some pictures to give you an idea of the drawings.

There are various rituals are performed in Hindu Wedding, and main wedding day involves collection of rituals. These holy rituals are performed by groom, bride, their parents and relatives. The Var Mala ritual is main ritual that is performed on main wedding day. Hindus give the most importance to this ritual among all wedding rituals.

Some Hindus are familiar with Var Mala as Jai Mala. In this ritual firstly bride welcomes to her groom and puts sacred garland around groom’s neck. Same activity is performed by groom during vedic chant. The Var Mala or Jai Mala ritual signifies that both bride and groom accept each other as husband and wife. It is also one of the funniest rituals. If groom is taller than bride then bride has to do extra effort to putting garland around his neck. The bride’s mother does a special welcome puja and then pinch the groom’s nose ritual is performed by her. It symbolizes that groom ask for her daughter’s hand. Thus Hindu wedding allows different rituals.

Arya Samaj Wedding is a part of Hindu wedding. Swami Dayanand Saraswati is the founder of Arya Samaj therefore in Arya Samaj wedding his teachings is followed. The wedding rituals are performed to remember ancient Hindu culture. The important fact about Arya Samaj Wedding is that it to be different from today’s modern wedding in many aspects such as it not to be profligate. In Arya Samaj marriage no God is worshipped, even instead of it natural elements such as fire, air and water is worshipped.

The priest completes all wedding rituals and read Vedic chants as well as explains the meaning of wedding to the newly wed couple. This is very important part of wedding since it gives real meaning of marriage in life and help them to live together lifetime. Some rituals and customs are similar in Arya Samaj Wedding to Hindu wedding such as Madhuparka, Parikrama, Shilarohan and Pani Grahan.

The bride offers holy water three times to groom in the Madhuparka ritual after that groom have to taken Madhuparka. It is made of honey, cream and curds. Panigrahan is the most important wedding ritual in which groom holds the hands of bride and make promises to live together in all circumstances including good and bad. Thus Arya Samaj Wedding is not lavish like other weddings.
