Sikh Wedding also to be like Hindu Wedding, it starts a week ago from the wedding day and continued to some days after marriage over. All marriage ceremonies and rituals activities have performed in Gurudwara. It is the worship place of Sikhs.
‘Tilak’ ceremony is the starting ceremony of Sikh wedding in which Tilak is applied after that a ‘bhaiji’ of Gurudwara offers a suitable date for both parties to marriage. The ‘Chura’ Ceremony has special in Sikhs wedding in which bride’s maternal aunt and uncle put white and red bangles on the bride’s wrist. This ceremony is performed in the home of bride.
In ‘Gana’ ceremony a red thread is tied to the right wrist of the groom and left wrist of bride. The powder of mustard oil, barley flour and turmeric is put on the bodies of both bride and groom after this they take bath. ‘Mehendi’ ceremony is performed on the eve of marriage day it is too a part of wedding.
The ‘Milni’ Ceremony is done on wedding day. ‘sehra’ is tied on groom’s forehead and a garland of notes put around his neck this work is done by groom’s sister. Thus Sikh wedding ceremony ends with “Doli’ or ‘Vidai’ ceremony.                        Â

The Special Marriage Act came in regulation on 9th of October 1954 in India. Jammu and Kashmir territory is out of this law but special marriage act is applicable in all provinces of India. In special situations a boy and a girl can get married under this law.
The boy and girl those fulfill required age limit for marriage according Indian law can get married. According this law the boy and girl should not be real brother and sister, neither the child of same father different mothers nor same mother different fathers. Â
The boy and girl have to summit a special form in district with a written notice the forms can find from marriage officer. This notice can summit the district where the boy or girl, otherwise both is living together just before one month from submitting the marriage application.
A marriage officer has the right to set aside of marriage application only that cases in which the boy and girl don’t fulfill necessary clause. If officer doesn’t tell rejection point then party can appeal in District Court within 30 days from the rejection of marriage application. Â

The marriages which have done in the temples to be full of enjoy and fun. Temple marriage has been changed too much in regards of earlier. Now royal marriages are not possible in temple. Temple marriage has separate existence in Hindu culture. Â Â Â Â
In Hindu culture Groom is considered as God and Bride is considered as Goddess. In temple marriage culture Bride wears sari of gold, pink or red colors. She also puts on jewelry from head to toe. According Hindu culture Goddess Lexmi is look on in Bride while Groom is considered Lord Vishnu.
The Groom and the bride go to temple in the morning on wedding day and then “Haldi” ceremony is done. Groom’s family wear turban and groom’s wedding costume is “Kafni” with legging. Then Groom and Bride’s family turn up to the temple along with bride and groom. In the temple groom and bride circling around holly fire in which a knot is tied between bride’s sari and groom’ scarf, after that groom and bride put garland to each another neck. A simple thread or a gold chain according their economic status tied around bride’s neck by Groom. Groom put red powder” Sindoor” on the bride’s hair which shows that bride has become married woman, and the last bride and groom both touch their parents feet to get their bless. Therefore temple marriage is till now is existence.    Â

Menhdi is traditional art of decorating the hands and feet with Menhdi paste made the ground leaves of the plant Henna. The time refers to material, design and ceremony. This is tradition for groom and bride is hidden in their design, on wedding night the both has found their name in her hand. After wedding the bride are not perform any work at home until her Menhdi color has faded away.
