The Kannada weddings are very interesting rituals. There are many wedding rituals held in Kannada wedding. Today we discuss pre Kannada wedding rituals these includes the Naandi custom, Kaashi Yatre Tradition, Dev Karya Ceremony.

All are very interesting. Naandi custom is performed by both the groom as well as bride’s family in their respective homes. This custom is done to ensure that the marriage takes place without any constrains.

Kaashi Yatra Tradition is the tradition in which the bridegroom shows his anger leaving for Kashi yatra because nobody is making an effort to find a suitable bride for him. He makes an announcement of his Brahmacharya. He stops only when his maternal uncle convinces him by showing him the girl that he has chosen for him. Dev Karya ceremony is held when groom’s family arrived at brides home. In this ceremony all items of marriage will placed in front of Lord Ganesha to seek his heavenly blessings.
