Bengali Wedding is refers to both Hindu wedding and Muslim marraige in west Bengal and Bangladesh. While Hindu and Muslims marriage have their unique religious ceremony, there are many frequent cultural rituals in marriages across creed between Bengali people.

In Bengali Wedding a conventional wedding is arranged by Ghotoks (matchmakers), who are normally friends or relatives of the duo. In Bengali marriage are traditionally in four parts the Beeye, the bride’s Gaye Holud, the Bou Bhaat and the groom’s Gaye Holud. These frequently take place on separate place. . In Bengali wedding the bride is seated on a dais, and the henna is used to adorn the bride’s hands and feet with intricate conceptual designs. The turmeric paste is useful by her body and the bride’s friends. This is said to soften the skin, but also colors her with the idiosyncratic yellow tint that gives its name to this ritual.
